MonicaRosenthal

Can someone tell me why User:MonicaRosenthal is marked for deletion? It seems kinda unnecessary to delete a user page because it doesn't matter if there are any inactive users at a wiki. Correct me if this user has to be deleted because of some kind of violation.

In the Revision history, I noted that the user posted Non-Wynncraft related content as well as advertising Non-Wynncraft content. That is a violation according to user bans made by admins. --Rookirk (talk) 23:25, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

Another Identifier Page

Sorry if this is the wrong place I'm posting in, but I found that there are two pages about Item Identifiers. They are: http://,/index.php/Identifier and http://,/index.php/Item_indentifier The second one seems to be useless, as it has much less information. I think it should be marked for deletion, but I don't know how. Any help will be appreciated.

Item_identifier has been marked for deletion. In the future, you can do this by adding it to the "Marked for Deletion" category under "Page Settings" and making a brief post on its talk page of its reason for deletion. --Snickers10m (talk) 04:14, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
Could you tell me where the "Page Settings" button is? I can't seem to find it.
Use the Edit rather than the Edit Source tool. In the top right there's a gear icon. --Snickers10m (talk) 01:39, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
Edit: You can also use [[Category:Marked for deletion]] at the bottom of the page if you use the source editor.
I think it is better to move the Identifier page to "Item Identifier", as it is the name of the service vendor in-game. --Dar-krusos (talk) 07:16, 19 February 2016 (EST)

Redirects

So I was thinking, there are some pages that redirect you to another page. The pages kinda waste space... so maybe either mark them for deletion or create that specific topic. For example," A page, [Chests] is supposed to redirect to Loot. That would be a waste then. I know sometimes redirects are there to make sure no one gets confused, but sometimes some of the obvious redirects just waste space. --Lexworm (talk) 17:46, 18 February 2016 (EST)

Redirect pages only have a few bytes of size, so they don't waste space. The annoying thing about redirect pages is that they appear in the search results and cause confusion. That's why I didn't want redirect pages with the american spelling of armour, but another user created them anyway. Now we have all the armour pages twice, with one of them being a redirect. Redirects should be made for keywords that players might search for when they don't know the title of the article. For example, in your case, many players probably want to know more about Loot Chests, so they search for that instead of Loot, so the redirect makes sense. Only if that specific topic is big enough to fill a page with more than one paragraph of text, should a page be created about it. Feel free to create a page for Loot Chests if you can supply enough information. -Gr4phene (talk) 07:09, 19 February 2016 (EST)

A Meaningful Holiday and Scroll Merchants

I do not understand why these two pages are in this category. The first one is a quest, so it shouldn't be in this category, and the second is a merchant, which also shouldn't be in this category. In my opinion, it is probably from the page not having any protection from Writes which means that anyone can mark it for deletion. I am not sure how to u mark it for deletion, so if someone could fix the protection on those pages or at the very least remove the mark for deletion, it would make sure the wiki keeps these important pages. Thank you for you time in reading this message. --RogueHatter, King of Texas (talk) 01:41, 27 December 2016 (EST)

These pages are marked for deletion because they are separate pages from the completed, detailed pages of the same thing. A Meaningful Holiday and Meaningful Holiday are two separate things (Glitch946 & colin350 both made the page at the same time.) To mark a page for deletion, add the category: "Category:Marked for deletion" in square parentheses AFTER the first category. --CookedPelvis (talk) 02:15, 27 December 2016 (EST)
They are marked for deletion because they are useless. A Meaningful Holidays is a word added to the actual quest name in-game. Same with the Scrolls Merchant/Scroll Merchants. The in-game name of the Scroll Merchant isn't like that. To mark a page for deletion, open edit source, and then go to the bottom of the page. Then, write [[Category:Marked for deletion]] and save the page. --RycsWikiAccount (talk) 10:05, 27 December 2016 (EST)
I understand now, thank you for both telling me these things. --RogueHatter, King of Texas (talk) 10:30, 27 December 2016 (EST)
Ok. Also, the third reason to mark those redirects is that it isn't expected to search like that, like with the redirect VSS Seaskipper. --RycsWikiAccount (talk) 23:38, 27 December 2016 (EST)
