Speed Surges are a consumable item unlocked after completing The Feathers Fly Part II quest. 8 Surges are awarded for completing the quest, and afterwards they can be bought for 12 Emeralds each from the Consumable Merchant in Ava's workshop, on the border of Avos Territory north of Corkus City.
Speed Surges can also be bought and sold on the Trade Market and traded with other players. Unlike the Bipedal Springs also available from the merchant, they do not have a combat level or quest requirement to be used.
When used, a Speed Surge grants the user the Speed II effect for 3 minutes (boosting their overall Walk Speed by about +40%). This effect is not stackable with other speed-boosting effects, such as the Archer's Escape spell. The item is not restricted by a cooldown, but is consumed on use.
