Burtur is the Starter Quest NPC for Lazarus Pit and can be found in Gelibord. He is a resident of Gelibord who has been dealing with the relentless sieges of the undead revived by the Lazarus Pit and requests the player to fix the issue.

Unable to start Lazarus Pit:
- Burtur: Ah, one of you adventurin’ types, huh? We see a lot of you around here… Going in and out as you please. Must be a nice life.
- Burtur: Once you reach level 69, the town as a whole could ask a big favor of you, though. So, if you could spare yourself at some point?

Burtur is located in Gelibord standing near the lake.
Trivia
- Prior to 1.20, Burtur had a deadly case of Kerasot Poisoning, which was a fungal illness that made the throat swell up until the infected could not breathe any more, dying as a result. Burtur requested that the player gets some water from the Lazarus Pit as a result.
- Kerasot poisoning is still in the game, as seen through the Rare Mob, Kerasot Toxifont, and the Kerasot Poisoning is instead given to Korben's father in Aldorei's Secret Part I.
