Obtaining

Dernic Parasite can be obtained by defeating various Rare Mobs found in the Silent Expanse. It can also be found in Loot Chests.

The following mobs can drop Dernic Parasite:

• Atomic Gunk
• Blinders
• Face of Fear
• Vortexian Voidgap

Usage

Dernic Parasite can be sold at a Blacksmith or from your Ingredient Pouch in exchange for Emeralds. It can also be traded to other players via the Trade Market or personal trading.

Crafting

Dernic Parasite can be used in the Cooking profession to grant a moderate amount of gathering XP bonus to the crafted food while lowering gathering speed. It also grants up to +5/3s mana steal, but it has a heavy duration cost. Dernic Parasite is a useful ingredient for gathering XP foods, especially since its gathering speed penalty can be easily nullified by consuming a food with positive gathering speed first.
