Festival Workers are NPCs that can be found throughout Detlas during the annual Festival of the Heroes, which most recently ran from 22nd March until 14th April, 2024, appearing alongside Festival Goers and other NPCs associated with the event. Some Workers explained the rules of the Performances and the activities available as part of the festival.

  • Festival Worker: Hm... Oh! Hello. How can I help you today?
    • [1] What are performances?
      • Festival Worker: Well, as it so happens, they're rather simple.
      • Festival Worker: If you're here, in the center of Detlas, when the timer reaches zero, you'll get the boost.
      • Festival Worker: Performances will give different boosts each time, rotating through seven options.
      • Festival Worker: Boosts include XP Bonus, Mobility Boosts, Loot Bonus, Gathering XP Bonus, Damage Bonus, Gathering Speed, Loot Quality, and Elemental Damage Bonus.
    • [2] How does the player boost work?
      • Festival Worker: If you attend a performance, you'll be granted a token for a specific boost. This token can be used at will to grant you a bonus for 40 minutes.
      • Festival Worker: However, a boost token can only be used within 24 hours of the performance when it was earned. Make sure you remember to use it!
    • [3] Can you tell me about the special event?
      • Festival Worker: Oh, yes, the special event. There's not too much I can tell you without ruining the surprise.
      • Festival Worker: It will work the same way as a regular performance, so be sure to be here before the event starts!
    • [4] I don't need anything.
      • Festival Worker: Alright. See you.

      • Festival Worker: Well, alright! You'll have to let me know how many coins you'd like to bet.
        • Taking too long to type or declining to play:
          • Festival Worker: Changed your mind? That's alright, feel free to come back later!
        • Not having the amount of coins to bet:
          • Festival Worker: Hm... It doesn't look like you have that many coins on you! Let me know if you'd like to try again.
        • After setting the amount to bet:
          • Festival Worker: So you'd like to wager {X} coins... Alright! Which color would you like to bet on?
            • After placing a bet on a color:
              • Festival Worker: Betting on {orange/green}? Here goes, then! Let's see if you chose wisely!
                • Landing on the color you bet on:
                  • Festival Worker: Congratulations! You guessed correctly, so your wager has been doubled. Thanks for playing!
                  • [+{X} Silver Festival Coins]
                • Landing on the color that was not bet on:
                  • Festival Worker: Oh, tough luck! Hopefully you'll have better luck next time. Thanks for playing!
    • [2] Could you tell me how to play?
      • Festival Worker: Oh, I sure can! It's really simple, actually.
      • Festival Worker: You put in a wager of up to 64 Silver Festival Coins, and then bet on a color. If you win, you'll double your wager!
      • Festival Worker: Both colors have an equal chance of being rolled, so it's a fair game of luck! If you'd like to play, just speak to me again.
    • [3] Not today, thank you.
      • Festival Worker: Alright, well, you know where to find me!

Location Detlas
  • Festival Worker: Hello! Here for the Scavenger Hunt, then? Here, one moment, I can get you set up to begin...
  • Festival Worker: So! Here's how this is going to work. Every day, we'll have a new location available to find.
  • Festival Worker: If you speak to me, you'll be able to view a list of all available locations. When you pick one, you'll be given an image which displays the chosen location.
  • Festival Worker: Bring the image to the location, and you'll be able to claim the cache! After you claim enough caches, you'll be rewarded with unique items.
  • Festival Worker: Here, let's start with an easy one. Select the first location, track it down, and then return to me once you've done so!

If you didn't start the Scavenger Hunt yet:

  • Festival Worker: Oh, welcome back! Ready to start the Scavenger Hunt?

If you didn't get the image:

  • Festival Worker: Not feeling up to the Scavenger Hunt right now? No worries! If you ever want to start, just come and talk to me again.

If you got the image:

  • Festival Worker: Well, there you have it! Just travel to the location displayed on the image, claim the cache, and return to me.

After finding the first cache:

  • Festival Worker: So you've found the location? Well done! That's how the Scavenger Hunt will work.
  • Festival Worker: Now, before I let you get into it... One more thing. Claiming the first cache means you're eligible for the first reward!
  • Festival Worker: Here, I'll open the rewards list for you. Just click the rewards button, and you'll get the item!
  • Festival Worker: And that's all there is to it! Here, I'll let you get to searching now. Just talk to me again, and I can open up the list for you.

Didn't claim the reward yet:

  • Festival Worker: Oh, there you are. Here, I'll open the rewards list for you. Just click the rewards button, and you'll get the item!

On subsequent conversations:

  • Festival Worker: Hello there! Here for the Scavenger Hunt?
    • [1] I'd like to view the available locations.
      • This brings up the list of caches.
    • [2] Can I see the rewards?
      • This brings up the list of rewards.
    • [3] How does the Scavenger Hunt work again?
      • Festival Worker: Sure thing! So, for each available cache, you'll get an image which displays the location.
      • Festival Worker: Travel to that location with the image on hand, and you'll be able to claim the cache!
      • Festival Worker: Additionally, there are three types of locations: Daily, Weekly, and Bonus.
      • Festival Worker: Daily locations become available each day, and Weekly locations become available in sets of three each weekend.
      • Festival Worker: Bonus locations are unlocked after claiming enough regular caches. They're far more challenging than Daily or Weekly locations!
      • Festival Worker: After claiming enough caches, regular or bonus, you'll be eligible for unique rewards.
    • [4] Just here to look at the map on the wall.
      • Festival Worker: Oh, alright!

      • If you don't have enough money:
        • Festival Worker: Well, I'd be happy to let you play, but you don't seem to have enough coins!

        • Festival Worker: Well, there you have it! {X} Silver Festival Coins earned, and {Y} waves cleared!
      • If you don't have enough money:
        • Festival Worker: Well, I'd be happy to let you play, but you don't seem to have enough coins!
    • [3] Could you tell me how to play?
      • Festival Worker: Well, sure! You'll be given 32 Throwing Darts, and will have to aim to hit bottles on these platforms.
      • Festival Worker: Bottles will appear in batches of 2 to 5, and will remain for several seconds before being replaced. You'll have to react quickly! Each bottle you successfully hit will score you 1 point.
      • Festival Worker: In addition to regular bottles, occasionally a special bottle will appear, which is worth 3 points. You'll also sometimes spot wybels, which will subtract 3 points if hit.
      • Festival Worker: At the end of the game, your points will be tallied up, and you'll receive 1 Silver Festival Coin for each point you earned. If you'd like to play, just talk to me again!
    • [4] What's the Endless Mode?
      • Festival Worker: Oh, yes, the Endless Mode. It mostly follows the same rules as the normal game, but with a few additions.
      • Festival Worker: When you start the game, you'll have 3 lives for the entire game. If you throw an arrow and miss, or you don't hit every bottle in a wave, you'll lose a life.
      • Festival Worker: If you run out of lives, or if you hit a wybel, the game will end! Endless Mode costs 24 Silver Festival Coins to play.
    • [5] Not today, thank you.
      • Festival Worker: Sure thing, see you around!

    • [1] Deal me in.[2]
      • Festival Worker: Alrighty! Let's play some blackjack!

        • After setting the amount to bet:

            • Dealer busts or you have the better value:
              • Festival Worker: Congratulations! You've won this game, so your bet has been doubled. Thanks for playing!
              • [+x Silver Festival Coins]
            • You bust or the dealer has the better value:
              • Festival Worker: Ah, tough luck! Looks like the cards weren't in your favor this time around. Thanks for playing!
            • Tie:
              • Festival Worker: Hm... Tough game for us both, it seems! Well, since neither of us have won, here are your coins back, thanks for playing!
    • [2] How do I play?
      • Festival Worker: Hm? Oh, sure. The rules are simple! I deal two cards face up to you, and two cards to me – one face up and one face down.
      • Festival Worker: You can then hit and get another card as many times as you want, or stand and end your turn. The aim is to get the value of your hand as close to 21 as possible!
      • Festival Worker: Number cards are worth what they say, all picture cards are worth 10, and an ace can be worth either 1 or 11, whichever works best for your hand.
      • Festival Worker: Go over 21 and that's it – you're bust! Stand with your current hand and it's my turn to hit or stand to try and beat your hand.
      • Festival Worker: And if you get a blackjack – that's an ace and a picture card or a ten – you automatically get double your money back!
      • Festival Worker: Sound fair enough? Alright, just speak to me again to play!
    • [3] Not today.
      • Festival Worker: Not right now? No worries – come back another time!
