Obsessor is a creature of the Silent Expanse that attacks Lucio during A Journey Beyond. When it first appears in the Ruined Olmic City, it takes a form similar to that of a Lutho miner, but it reveals its true form later on. When Lucio approaches it, it traps him in a magic cage and shouts at him very quickly, eventually taking over his mind and convincing him to join it. When the player follows and kills the Obsessor later, they find that it had infected Lucio and he was completely transformed into the Enraptured Obsessor.
Location
The Obsessor NPC is located just west of the broken bridge in the Ruined Olmic City.
The mob is found past a pit that the player must cross, in a building that an Obsessor mob with a blue name tag will lead the player to when they enter the Ruined Olmic City main area.

Trivia
- Obsessors are slime-like creatures made of searing tar. All Obsessors are linked as a hive mind, and have the singular goal of subsuming more life into themselves to expand the hive.
- More Obsessors are produced when the substance they are made of reaches the brain of their victim. If the infection were to be isolated to a limb, such limb could be severed and the person saved, however, if the slime reaches the vitals, they cannot be saved.
- This is the reason as to why you cannot touch the tar on the cave floor in A Journey Beyond, as doing so would infect you and transform you into an Obsessor yourself.
