Obtaining

No known mobs drop Volatile Matter, and it can currently only be found in loot chests.

Usage

Volatile Matter can be sold at a Blacksmith or from your Ingredient Pouch in exchange for Emeralds. It can also be traded to other players via the Trade Market or personal trading.

Volatile Matter can be used in Weaponsmithing, Woodworking, and Alchemism to augment the user's melee damage and Exploding, at the cost of lowered Defense.
