Decaying Heart is a Tier 3 Crafting Ingredient and a Meta-Ingredient.
Obtaining
Decaying Heart can be obtained as a very rare drop from most Dark Forest mobs. It can also be found in Loot Chests. Failed to load mobs! Let a community administrator know about this issue.
Usage
Decaying Heart can be sold at a Blacksmith or from your Ingredient Pouch in exchange for Emeralds. It can also be traded to other players via the Trade Market or personal trading.

Decaying Heart can be used in the Tailoring and Armouring professions to grant other ingredients touching it -100% effectiveness, nullifying their effect (ignoring other meta-ingredients). Meanwhile, ingredients not touching the Decaying Heart receive +75% effectiveness.
- A good use of a Decaying Heart would include making it touch ingredients that add durability, as effectiveness does not affect durability. To use this tip to its fullest, place a Decaying Heart on any corner of the crafting grid.
- When used in a corner spot, Decaying Heart allows nearly full ingredient power (3 slots at +75% each is the equivalent of 5.25 slots of power, provided your ingredient combination works with this) and also frees up two spots for durability boosters.
- Decaying Heart can be used in conjunction with Obelisk Core or Major's Badge to give effectiveness boosts to flipped ingredients.
- Combining Decaying Heart with a Bob's Tear allows for two ingredients to reach +100% effectiveness, allowing mana regen and steal ingredients to have doubled effects.
