Bob's Tear is a Tier 2 Crafting Ingredient and a Meta-Ingredient.
Obtaining
The primary method of obtaining Bob's Tear is by killing Bob the Zombie, a level 1 Zombie that may occasionally be found wandering around Ragni.
Alternatively, the Tear is also a rare drop from many of the mobs found throughout Nesaak Forest, much closer to the level of Bob's Lost Soul. Mobs that may drop one include Wild Snow Wolves, Dead Ice Cutters, Ice Zombies, Snow Zombies, Snow Golems and Hungry Wendigos in the area. A good place to grind for the Tear is the Wolf Den near Nesaak, containing many named Wolves and the Crazy Wolf Tamer, all of which may drop it.
Bob's Tear can also be found in Loot Chests and can be bought and sold on the Trade Market.
Usage
Bob's Tear can be sold at a Blacksmith or from your Ingredient Pouch in exchange for Emeralds. It can also be traded to other players via the Trade Market or personal trading. Aside from as a crafting ingredient, Bob's Tear has two additional uses: first, obtaining one is required to complete the Bob's Lost Soul quest at level 45, along with a Rose. The Tear is also used to unlock Ragni's Library, a Secret Discovery located in Ragni castle containing the tale of Bob, the legendary hero of Wynn Province.

By far the lowest-level Meta-Ingredient, Bob's Tear adds +25% Effectiveness to any other Ingredients used below it when crafting, making it very useful in any recipe to provide a large boost to other identifications. However, Bob's Tear does carry very high penalties to durability and duration relative to other Ingredients around its level. If using it to craft Weapons, Armour or Accessories, you should be especially mindful of this, as increasing the Effectiveness of other Ingredients will also increase the rate at which their effects degrade at low durability. In addition to the significant durability/duration penalties, it should be noted that, due to the way Crafting ingredient slots are used, Bob's Tear can only be effective when used with at least two other ingredients. If the Tear is used in the first slot, the ingredient in the second will not be affected, but subsequent ones will be. Therefore, despite its low Crafting level requirement, achieving higher levels and unlocking additional ingredient slots are necessary to make use of the Tear. With this in mind, however, it can nevertheless be used to improve many crafting recipes.
: Using this with Sturdy Flesh can increase the already-high health bonus of the Flesh to a maximum of +31.
: A Vibrant Augment's elemental damage bonuses can each reach a maximum of +8% when combined with this.
