Dialogue

Before clearing the Great Bridge

On your first conversation:

  • Galippe: Greetings, soldier!
  • Galippe: Are you here to cross the Great Bridge as well?
  • Galippe: I fear you'll have to wait, the warning wasn't without merit.
    • [1] What warning?
      • Galippe: The Troms military has issued an official warning to all travelers wishing to cross the Great Bridge.
      • Galippe: No one should use the bridge until they have dealt with the... underlying issue.
      • Galippe: I ignored the warning at first, since the bridge is the only path into the jungle...
      • Galippe: But attempting to cross the bridge proved unbearable. Even out here, can't you feel that intense heat?
      • Galippe: I wouldn't blame anyone for not wanting to venture further, let alone meet whatever is causing this heat!
      • Galippe: And so I've been waiting here with my assistant all day... We're potion makers, you see, and we were headed to the grand city of Troms to sell supplies.
      • Galippe: If you want to ignore the military's warning, I suppose you might benefit from buying some of our stock first. Our potions are stronger than any sold in Nesaak, after all!
        • If you are at least level 50:
          • Galippe: From the look of your equipment... I'd say you might have a better chance of making it across that us.
        • If you are lower than level 50:
          • Galippe: Although... I don't think you'd make it much further than we did. Perhaps at Level 50 you would stand a better chance...

On subsequent conversations:

  • Galippe: Hello again, soldier.
  • Galippe: Have you got any other questions?
    • [1] Do you know anything further about the heat?
      • Galippe: The military has been vague, so the only information I have is from rumours.
      • Galippe: There are claims that a powerful corrupted has appeared on the bridge, and is the root behind all of this.
      • Galippe: I heard a traveler who attempted to cross came back with heavy burns on their feet, only barely still alive.
      • Galippe: So if you feel the need to try your luck, perhaps you should try to be quicker on your feet than them.
      • Galippe: Though that's only if you believe the rumours. Whatever the case, with that scorching heat, it's going to be hard to cross the bridge.
      • Galippe: If only we had brought more fire-resistant equipment...
    • [2] Is this seriously the only way into the Jungle?
      • Galippe: Well, there is actually a passage directly into Troms! Through the Pigman Ravines near Ragni, if you've heard of them.
      • Galippe: ...Problem is, to use the passage, you need to be a recognized citizen of Troms! It's really annoying, actually.
      • Galippe: I've applied for Tromsian citizenship to make my job easier, but the process is... odd. They seem to have people do random tasks to be allowed in...?
      • Galippe: I was asked to investigate some strange altar... It was in the more dangerous part of the Jungle though, so I didn't bother risking my life over it.
      • Galippe: Still, though, it would be nice to not have to trek through the damned tundra every time I visit Troms... I wouldn't have to deal with situations like this, either.
    • [3] Where can I buy potions?
      • Galippe: Oh, just speak to my assistant about it. He's keeping an eye on the cart while I keep an eye on the bridge.
    • [4] Just checking in on the situation!
      • Galippe: I see! Good luck on your adventures, soldier.

After clearing the Great Bridge

On your first conversation:

  • Galippe: ...You took care of it? To be honest, I didn't think you stood a chance, even to get by the thing.
  • Galippe: I felt guilty watching you actually try after my words of encouragement, but I can already feel the heat relenting! You truly humble me, soldier.
  • Galippe: Speaking of Troms... I suppose I should prepare for the rest of the road there now. I truly wish you success in your future adventures... oh, and thank you for clearing the bridge.

On subsequent conversations:

  • Galippe: Now that the heat is gone, I can finally continue on my journey to Troms.
  • Galippe: But if you've got any questions, I'm glad to answer them!
    • [1] Do you know anything about that monster on the bridge?
      • Galippe: The military has been vague, though I've heard rumours here and there.
      • Galippe: Some people say that this corrupted has appeared on the bridge before. Supposedly, it's behind all the recent closings of the bridge!
      • Galippe: Killed time and time again, it comes back like a Phoenix rising from its ashes...
      • Galippe: Some say its first appearance was during a battle in which one of Wynn's heroes fell. Others go further, claiming it felled him itself.
      • Galippe: I've always found this to be a rather fantastical explanation... I don't suppose it matters, either way. It's blocking the path, regardless.
    • [2] Is this actually the only way into the Jungle?
    • [3] Where can I buy potions?
      • Galippe: Oh, just speak to my assistant about it. He's taking a breather outside while I prepare for the journey ahead.
    • [4] Just passing through.
      • Galippe: I see! Good luck on your adventures, soldier.
