Reynauld is an NPC in the quest Recover the Past. He helped the player and Tasim defend the village of Elkurn from a corrupted siege. After Elkurn was defended, the player brought them to Dr. Picard to reveal Reynauld's lost memories.
Reynauld was revealed to be a member of the Fruman Royal Guard, the Kai Shi. However, he went against the code of conduct and consorted with a criminal living in the Fruman slums, Caid. He would later be found out by the chief guard after Caid revealed his association with him, stripping him of his position and branding him as a criminal of the monarchy. Reynauld would later have his memories of Fruma wiped and would be sent to the Wynn Province sometime after Tasim was.

Before Recover the Past
- Scout Reynauld: Ah, hello. Don't mind me, I'm just preparing for an oncoming corrupted attack.
- Scout Reynauld: ...nothing you need to worry about, of course. I can handle it.
After Recover the Past
- Scout Reynauld: Ah. You again.
- Scout Reynauld: ...I certainly regret following you to that doctor and his damned contraption. Those were things I didn't need to know about myself.
- Scout Reynauld: The more I think about it, the more certain I am that I don't wish to remember anymore.
- Scout Reynauld: ...It does make me appreciate my new life in Wynn more, though. I'd like to do my best to not fall into those habits.

Reynauld is found near the river on the east side of Elkurn, guarding the bridges against the corrupteds. After the quest, he would go back to his position, reminiscing on his memories.
Trivia
- Reynauld's original life before the Lootrun Update was just being a poor resident in a poor town with another resident, Heine. He was later taken away for, as the Kai Shi puts it, insulting the royal engineers.
