General Elix is an NPC in Kandon-Beda who initiates the quest The Breaking Point. He oversees a machine situated in the middle of the town that is supposed to keep the Canyon Colossus from causing the earth to become unstable. Once the machine fails, he asks you to aid him in repairing the device, along with the assistance of two scientists named Ineos and Rhay.

• General Elix: Help? You’re not nearly experienced enough to help us out, get out of here until you’re at least level 97!

During the stage before flying to Corkus Island:

• General Elix: Have you flown to Corkus with Rhay yet? Quick, get to the Hot Air Balloon in the south!

During the stage before flying to the Molten Heights:

• General Elix: Have you flown to the Heights with Ineos yet? Quick, get to the Hot Air Balloon in the south!
