Grave Digger is a short level 20 quest centered in Nemract and Saint's Row.

Preview

Sayleros, who is located at the north gate of Detlas, reveals to the player that he was attacked and his brother was killed. The player is asked to help Sayleros recover his brother's will in order to recover his inheritance. The player has to travel to the port town of Nemract and talk with Drucksh, in order to find Sayleros' Brother's final resting place.

Stage 1

» Talk to Sayleros in Detlas at [476, 69, -1624]

• Sayleros: You sure look like a strong adventurer who could help me!
• Sayleros: My name is Sayleros. I spent most of my life in Nemract, but decided to come live in Detlas with my family a few weeks ago.
• Sayleros: However, we got attacked by thieves on our way here, and I had to leave my family behind. Most of them died, unfortunately.
• Sayleros: I know that my brother had his will on him during the attack. Knowing he was a rich fellow, I expect to be receiving a large part of his fortune.
• Sayleros: His body was buried somewhere in Nemract. I own a large graveyard there, and can grant you access to it if you can bring me back his will.
• Sayleros: One of my other brothers also survived the attack. He isn't... um... somebody I'd trust greatly, but I'm sure he has some useful information for you.
• Sayleros: His name is Drucksh. He usually likes to talk a lot when he is drunk, see if you can do anything with that.
• Sayleros: I'll be waiting for your return! Follow this path, it leads directly to Nemract. Good luck!

• The Priest: Sayleros has sent you to find something in the crypt? That is a very bad idea. However, you look well prepared.
• The Priest: Corruption has seeped into the graves, the dead are coming back to life. We are working on barring the entrance up, to protect the cathedral.
• The Priest: If you must enter, I will not try to stop you. The keys to access different parts of the crypt are down there.
• The Priest: The partially barred entrance across from me will lead you there, please, be careful.

Stage 4

» Kill Sayleros' Brother and retrieve his will in the Nemract cathedral's crypt at [335, 54, -2165].

The crypt is composed of three separate levels locked behind separate doors. Throughout the crypt are several graves, which when opened up can reveal a Tomb Zombie, or in special cases a unique crypt inhabitant such as Big Tom. Several Crypt Gargoyles also appear in dormant states, although they will turn hostile when looked at. Sometimes, a grave with a beneficial effect can be found within. The locations of these graves are as follows:

• 344, 35, -2112: +300 Max Health for 120 seconds

First Floor

The location of the
Crypt Second Floor Key can be found by going into the area before the room with the door to the second floor and then going to the furthest left row of rooms. Head to the most western room from here and the key will be dangling on a rope at 300, 35, -2113. Go to the large door with green particles at 299, 35, -2164 to unlock it. Beware of Big Tom's tomb found to the left of the entrance of the room from the stairs, as he is a very tanky miniboss.

Second Floor

On the second level, Corruption is visibly more prevalent. Some tombs also become Desecrated Tombs upon defeat, which are tanky mobs that constantly summon Tomb Zombies when they detect the player. The
Crypt Sealed Room Key is found on the first right turn at the end of the stairs, continuing straight until it is found at 309, 23, -2101. The Crypt Defender miniboss will activate in the first room on the path to the key. Go to the large door with green particles at 347, 18, -2118 to unlock the door to the arena with Sayleros' Brother.

Sayleros' Brother

The camera will cut to Sayleros' Brother rising from the corrupted ground. Sayleros' Brother can summon Tomb Zombies to aid him in the fight starting from his third phase.

Stage 5

» Bring Sayleros' brother's will to Sayleros at [318, 56, -2165] in the Nemract cathedral.

As you exit the crypt, Sayleros will come to you.

• Sayleros: <playername>, there you are! You were taking so long, so I came over here as quickly as I could, in case you needed my help.
• Sayleros: What? You got his will already? That- that's brilliant! Here, let me take a look.
• Sayleros: Well, it's a little dusty, but I think it'll do the trick! Thank you greatly for the help.
• Sayleros: Here, here, take these as proof of my gratitude. And, also- Priest, since you're here, I'd like to grant <playername> here access to the graveyard.
• Priest: Very well. It shall be done.
• Sayleros: Excellent. Well, I'll be off to Detlas now. Feel free to visit if you'd like!

Trivia

• This quest has received some changes over time:
  • In 2.0.3 Lootruns, the end stage was updated so that instead of going back to Sayleros in Detlas, he would instead come to Saint's Row.
  • In 2.1 Rekindled World, a stage where 12 Rotten Flesh had to be gathered was removed and the crypt to access Sayleros' Brother was revamped to now have several graves instead of just leading to the boss directly.
• Sayleros' Brother can be fought again scaled to the player's level in the World Event called Risen Return.
