Dialogue

Mysterious Figure

  • Mysterious Figure: Hello there, fellow festival-goer! Here for the special event too, are you?
  • Mysterious Figure: Ha! It's very exciting, isn't it? Who could this surprise guest be, you must be wondering!
  • Mysterious Figure: Well, as it so happens, I have a guess! But I don't want to ruin the surprise for you, eh? It'll be more fun if you see them live on stage!

Siegfried

Special Performance

This dialogue is done in tandem with Aster.

  • Aster: Hello, everyone! Thank you all for coming today- as you may know, we've been incredibly lucky to have a special guest appear for today's event!
  • Aster: Now, this guest needs no introduction. He's well-known across all the lands for his deeds... He fights for what is right, he's beloved by all of Gavel, it's...
  • Siegfried: Me! Hello Citizens of Wynn, and visitors from all over! It's an honor to join you all in this wonderful celebration of heroism across the world!
  • Siegfried: Truly, what better cause is there to celebrate? We heroes do what we do because we love the people of the world! Yes, that means you all!
  • Siegfried: To protect those who need protection, to aid those who fall upon rough times, that is the true aim of a hero! People of Detlas, if you need to learn one thing from my example, make sure it is to help those people in need!
  • Siegfried: I must give my good thanks to this good fellow here for inviting me to speak at this event! If there is one thing I love to do, it's...-

A dark figure appears amongst the crowd.

  • Siegfried: Hm. Citizens, it seems that something is afoot! A monster appears to have snuck into the crowd! Monster, reveal yourself!!
  • Siegfried: Haha, face me head on, coward! Do not hide amongst the good people of the city! Or are you scared of the might of the Hero of Gavel!
  • Siegfried: Oh, you're a tough one alright! But, in the end, you're no match for the great Siegfried!

Siegfried then pulls out a sword he then uses to slay the monster.

  • Siegfried: Phew! That was a close one! But never fear, for I, Siegfried, was here to defend you from that beast!
  • Siegfried: I must thank you all for your support today! Unfortunately, my time on stage has passed, and I must return the spotlight to the good Storyteller...
  • Siegfried: But, fear not! I will remain at the festival for the coming days, being my good self! If you can find the time, stop by and say hello!
  • Siegfried: And now, I shall take my leave. I shall see you all at the Carnival Area, I hope!

Siegfried then exits the scene by jumping up, then walking to the Carnival Area.

  • Aster: Well, that certainly was exciting! I hope you all enjoyed this special event! We will return to our regular performance schedule from now on.

First Interaction

  • Siegfried: Hello, yes, hello! Here for an autograph from the Hero of Gavel himself?
  • Siegfried: Yes, I'd be very happy to sign something for you! It's quite a valuable thing, you know!
  • [+1 Siegfried's Autograph]
  • Siegfried: Oh, but you look like you want to ask something else! Ask away, festival goer!
    • [1] Siegfried, how are you so great?
      • Siegfried: Hard work and lots of practice! I've been a hero for a great many years, and I've improved greatly over that time!
      • Siegfried: To think, I used to be a normal person... Yearning for greatness, yet not quite there yet. But I managed to climb that mountain eventually!
      • Siegfried: And perhaps you could too! Anyone can be a hero- that's what the Storyteller says- and he's right!
      • Siegfried: Heroism is a mindset, more than anything, and if you work hard enough, you can achieve it as well!
    • [2] Have you been enjoying the festival?
      • Siegfried: I certainly have! These carnival games are good fun, let me tell you!
      • Siegfried: You see that sword trapped in the stone? A game of strength, supposedly! But it was no match for my greatness, as it came out with one firm pull!
      • Siegfried: These workers tried to offer me a great sum of coins for this feat, but I could not accept! Others here would be far more deserving of such a bounty, yes?
      • Siegfried: Besides the games, I've enjoyed the Storyteller's performances up on that stage. Especially the ones about me!
    • [3] What's your favorite adventure you've been on?
      • Siegfried: My, what a question. I've been on so many, how could I possibly pick a favorite?
      • Siegfried: Oh, but if you insist... I remember fondly of my delves into the ruins of Old Lexdale! You see, years back, there were rumors of cult activity deep within those woods, and I simply could not let that stand!
      • Siegfried: I traveled deep into those ruins, to places none before had ever been... And with my excellent sense of navigation, I tracked down their gathering place.
      • Siegfried: You see, those dreadful cultists were attempting an evil ritual to summon a powerful demon from beyond our world! Truly, I could not allow this to happen.
      • Siegfried: So I summoned my blade, and I dove into battle! One cultist, two cultists, dead by my hand before they could react! The rest tried to flee, but they were no match for my skills!
      • Siegfried: Ah, good memories. Their plan foiled, and their demon trapped, I had saved the day once more!
    • [4] We've met before. Do you not remember the Scavenger Hunt adventure?[1]
      • Siegfried: The... hm? I, ah- uh. Oh. Oh. So you're- Ahem. Yes, of course I remember that fantastic adventure of ours!
      • Siegfried: Haha, what a great time that was! The cave was certainly dangerous, but we prevailed in the end!
      • Siegfried: A shame you fell down there in the end, but I certainly managed to make my way out! Because, of course I did! I'm the greatest hero alive!
      • Siegfried: ...Now. Ehm. It would be in both our self interests if you didn't bring that adventure up again, yes?
    • [5] I don't have anything to ask you.
      • Siegfried: Ah. Well, that's quite alright! Clearly you are so in awe of my greatness that you can't think of anything to ask!

Trivia

  • Similar to how Gurix was a Siegfried actor in The Hero of Gavel, this Siegfried is also acted by somebody else. It might even be the same replacement of Siegfried from the end of the quest.
  • Siegfried's greatest adventure he has witnessed is a retelling of the story of the now-removed quest, Eye of the Storm.
