The Thanos Depository is a level 81 quest taking place in Thanos.

A dragon that normally lies dormant atop its spire has settled down in the Thanos Depository, threatening the citizens of Thanos.

Stage 1

» Find out what's happening at [167, 6, -5184]

Dialogue:

• Coulmis: This is just a disaster... I pray nothing goes awry with the recovery team.
• Coulmis: I'd never be able to live it off if I'm responsible for more deaths.
• Coulmis: But I must do what it takes to prevent Thanos from any more disaster.
• Atila: Sir! Coulmis, sir!
• Coulmis: Atila, you're back! Give it to me straight, did they succeed? We can't afford any more losses.
• Atila: No, sir... I'm afraid not.
• Atila: The elevator leads right in to where the dragon lays. Without knowing when it's asleep, it's a gamble.
• Coulmis: So we truly do need to go through the vault. But with the defense systems gone haywire...
• Atila: I'm sorry sir...
• Coulmis: Think nothing of it, let's get back to the drawing board.
• Atila: Yes, I'll get to it immediately.
• Coulmis: You there, human! What's your business here? Come speak to me.

• Coulmis: What's your business here? This place is off limits, the vault is very dangerous right now.
• Coulmis: Now that I look, say, that gear of yours is pretty high-quality, yeah? What's your name?

    • Coulmis: <playername>... where have I heard that name before... Oh, I remember! You're that guy who defeated that Qira woman, yeah?
  • If you did Dwarves and Doguns Part IV:
    • Coulmis: <playername>... where have I heard that name before... Oh, I remember! You're the one who helped resolve the whole Dogun thing, right?
  • Otherwise:
    • Coulmis: <playername> I see, I haven't seen you around before.
• Coulmis: Nevertheless, Thanos is in danger. To put it simply, a dragon is living uninvited in our depository.
• Coulmis: Perhaps, you've seen its lair above our city. Normally she leaves us unharmed, but one day she suddenly made her way in to this vault.
• Coulmis: My great friend Atila has been leading a recon squad, he's discerned that she's nesting an egg.
• Coulmis: We've tried at our greatest expenses to steal the egg, and bring it back to her nest, so that maybe she would leave... But, as you've heard, it's not going well.
• Coulmis: I don't normally ask this of strangers, but we've run ourselves thin. Do you think you're up to help? I'll make sure it's all worth your trouble.
• Will you help Coulmis?
  • [1] Tell me what I should know.
    • Coulmis: So you'll help!? Thank you so much! I'll make sure it's worth every moment!
    • Coulmis: You'll have to go through this chamber behind me to reach the depository. Our only other way in is right where the dragon is...
    • Coulmis: Atila knows some of the inner workings of the vault. I bid you good luck and will be praying for your success. Your courage will inspire Thanos.

    • Coulmis: Oh, so it wasn't meant to be I suppose...
    • Coulmis: Well, if we cross paths again, I'll always much appreciate your help... Back to the drawing board...

Stage 2

» Enter the vault at [167, 8, -5145]

Stage 3

» Head to the Thanos Depository at [171, 21, -4977]

There will be a few earthquakes on your way to the depository, and then the Depository will detect an intruder, activating its defense system. During the fight, the defense system will aim at an area, causing it to smoke up and then flare up. If you stand in one of those areas, you will be damaged by the defense system.

Stage 4

» Find a way through the depository.

There will be flamethrowers blocking some areas that you cannot go through. However, there will be cannons that you must stand in the range of for a few seconds that will then break a wall it is facing towards.

There will also be a few levers that will raise wooden platforms to serve as a safe passage through lava. Eventually, you will arrive upon the exit.

Stage 5

» Ride the minecarts to get further in to the depository

There will be a Track Controller that can be picked up near the minecart section. To use the Track Controller, right-click it as you are arriving towards a gap. At times, you need to drop down on purpose to avoid a dead end. In one place, you need to reactivate the track below you after dropping down. Timing is important.

Stage 6

» Steal Ozoth's egg and escape the depository.

This section is a red-light, green-light minigame. There will be an eye in the black abyss that when opened, you should stand still, and when closed, you should run towards the egg. If you move when the dragon's eye is open, then you are sent back to the beginning.

When you grab the egg, you have to run back towards the lift, which will take you up to Ozoth's Spire.

Stage 7

» Use the lift to escape.

• Atila: Oh-oh my gosh!! I took you for dead, and thought the dragon was sending me up a corpse!
• Atila: You really got it!? Hurry, then, the nest is up through this cave! Maybe Thanos can finally be rid of its woes...

Stage 8

» Place Ozoth's egg back in her nest at [169,199,-5208].

Some time later...

Ozoth will fly to its nest, covering the egg with its wings.

Stage 9

» Talk to Atila.

• Atila: She's a beauty, isn't she? A monster though, nevertheless.
• Coulmis: <playername>! Over here... Atila told me the news, I came as fast as I could!
• Coulmis: You're a hero, lad! With the dragon out of our city, Thanos no longer has to live in fear.
• Coulmis: I've prepared your reward. The people of Thanos will remember your contribution for years to come.

Trivia

• While this quest is a remake of The Thanos Vaults, it also incorporates some elements of the removed quest The Belly of the Beast.
• This quest was added in 2.0.
