The Realm of Light is one of the known realms of the Plane of Influence, tied to the Gavel Province in the physical plane. It is a vibrant and mystical area filled with enigmatic creatures such as Woollys or Cherry Treants. There are other structures located within the Realm, such as an elemental grinding spot and 2 large monoliths that used to have light flow through them. There are also other light structures such as a large landing platform, however, the main piece of architecture is Orphion's Nexus of Light, a palace where the Light is strongest at. Corruption and darkness can be found here as The Parasite weakens Orphion.

The music track, "Light's Hymn," plays throughout the area.

Access

After you complete Realm of Light IV - Finding the Light, you gain access to the Light's Secret, also known as the gateway to the Realm of Light (X: -1048 Y: -4342). However, accessing the Realm itself is unlocked by starting Realm of Light V - The Realm of Light.

Points of Interest

• The Monoliths - Supporting the bridge between the main Realm of Light and the Nexus of Light, the Monoliths each present you with different challenges to fill it with light. They were drained of their light to prevent the Parasite's effects from spreading to the rest of the Realm.
• Orphion's Nexus of Light - The palace of the enigmatic Orphion, the Nexus of Light is where the Light is strongest at. It serves as a Raid.
• Elemental Island - South of the main landing platform, there is a grind area with different enemies each representing a certain element, such as Wind Apparitions, Gaia Golems, Thunderous Calamities, Flaming Warriors, and Watery Enigmas.
• Landing Platform - The spot where things that enter the Realm of Light end up landing through the Gateway. To the southwest of the area is a Housing Balloon available to Champion-ranked players only, and north of there is a Potion Merchant that sells Lv 80-100 Healing Potions, Lv 80 Mana Potions, and Lv 85 Skill Potions. A Teleporter to Orphion's Nexus of Light is also located in the northwest sector of the platform.
• Koi Pond - This spot serves to be a Fishing area for Koi, the only fish to reside within the Realm of Light.

• Tree of Light - Many creatures and mysteries make their home in the great tree here.
• Cave of the Seasons - Light and the seasons have taken physical form under a strange tree growing out of here.

Lore

The Parasites

In the Realm of Light, one can occasionally find Dark Hives. These are the egg sacs of the Parasite, which turn into Hatchlings upon death. The Hatchlings burrow into and feed off of the Realm's power, while the Parasite itself leeches off of Orphion, sapping his life force and exacerbating Gavel's decay. In the Discovery Ne du Valeos du Ellach, it is revealed that the Parasite made a portal to the Realm of Dern to later go to the Realm of Light and leech off of Orphion. Due to the Parasite's presence in the Realm of Light, many of the creatures there are tainted and made aggressive by Darkness, and yet others are driven to ineffective fervor trying to eliminate the infestation, attacking anything seen as foreign.

Link with Gavel

The light energy of the realm is directly linked to the life force of the Gavel Province, and this bond plays a key role in the ongoing War of the Realms, since the Light of Gavel is tied with the Realm of Light itself. As the Parasite and its hatchlings burrow themselves underneath the ground, the Light of the surrounding region above decays with it. The spread of the Decay was amplified ever since the Parasite began to leech off of Orphion.

• Before 1.20, the Runestone in the Realm is covered in "Wynnic" text, reading "The Realm of Light" when translated.
  • Before the official release, the text on the Runestone was written in Elder Futhark (as shown in the Mysterious Ties trailer).
• Creepers can be found within the Realm of Light. However, it is unknown whether they are connected with the Creepers in Creeper Infiltration.
• Falling off the edge of the islands will cause the player to be teleported back to the landing platform without penalty.
