“ | Though Troms is known as the strongest city in Wynn, the experiments undertaken to produce living weapons was a catastrophe for the citadel. The living sludge now condemned to the undergrowth, is slowly growing to consume all. | „ |
~ Wynncraft Help Guide |
The Undergrowth Ruins, subtitled, "Caught in a sticky situation..", is a level 54 Dungeon located east of Troms in the southeast of the lake. The boss of the dungeon is Slykaar, a sacrificial shaman who previously held the title as the guardian of Troms, now looking to siege the city in revenge of his banishment.
Information about this dungeon is revealed in its associated quest Corrupted Betrayal.
A list of the items you're able to purchase with the rewards from this Dungeon can be found on the Dungeon Merchant page.
Room 1
Caught in a sticky situation...
- ???: I can sense your life force... it is very powerful. I shall take pleasure in draining it from your body!
The first phase is a parkour challenge. To get across, you will have to use the jump pads, which launch you in the direction they are facing when you land on them. Make sure to not hold spacebar or shift while landing on the jump pads, as you will lose a lot of height.
Room 2
In the second phase, you have to escort a Keystone Guardian to the next door. Several mobs will attack you and the Guardian. If the Keystone Guardian dies, you have to start over.
- The door suddenly opens, as if the Keystone Guardian's presence activated it...

Room 3
- Slykaar: Troms used to beckon to my every need and desire... Even sacrifice it's own children for my magical defense!
- Slykaar: But as soon as that hero of heroes turned up... I was cast away.
The next room is another parkour challenge. It uses jump pads once again, but it also uses vines, normal slime blocks, and vertical bounce pads.
Room 4
When you complete the parkour you will enter a room with 4 pillars. You have to fight mobs to progress the kill counters, which are then used to bring down the pillars to kill the blue token at the top to advance the main kill counter on the door. The pillars and blue tokens will respawn shortly after. Make sure there is a blue token at the top of the pillar before bringing it down. You need 4 blue tokens to be killed in order to advance to the next room, and 4 kills to bring down each pillar.

Room 5
The next room is another parkour challenge, much longer than the other two, containing many jump pads, vertical bounce pads, and slime blocks. Just like in the first phase, to use the jump pads, don't hold spacebar or shift.
Room 6
- Slykaar: Now the city will truly get to witness what power they have discarded...They will see they made the wrong call.
- Slykaar: Then the corruption will take over the city. Then who will they call? Bob has been missing for years. Fools!
In the next room, you have to kill 24 Lilla Slimes. The Jattelik Slimes divide into 2 Mellan Slimes, that each divide again to 2 Lilla Slimes. The door is at the top of the path going upwards, but you can reach it more quickly by doing a short slime parkour up the central pillar, which also contains Undergrowth Ruins Token mobs that you can collect kills from.

Shaman of Slime
Slykaar's main form of attack is using his Relik to send out beams that leave slime wherever they go. The beams hurt players caught in them and the slime poisons players caught in it. Slykaar uses various abilities throughout the first phase:
- Spread Bounce: Used whenever, a sound will play before Slykaar will summon a launcher to bounce himself to the other side of the arena, leaving behind slime.
- Slime Animation: Used when Slykaar's HP is below 85% (52,275), he will pound his Relik into the ground as several Slimelings spawn from the slime trail.
- Viscous Rain: Used when Slykaar's HP is below 65% (39,975), he will raise his Relik to summon a raincloud that pours slime as it circles around the arena.
The Slimelings he summons will jump toward the player and turn into slime when they land.
Gelatinous Giant
Once Slykaar is at around 6,150 HP, he will say the following lines of dialogue:
- Slykaar: NO! You... ungrateful miscrent.
- Slykaar: No. NO. This ISN'T over.
He will then move to the center of the arena as the viscous rain clouds congeal in the same spot, covering it in slime as several beams start to surround him as he plunges himself into the slime, reemerging as a hulking slime monster. The outer edges of the arena are coated in slime as the second phase begins.
Slykaar's main attacks in this form are him tossing slime at the player and whacking the player if they get too close to him, knocking the player back. He also now leaves a trail of slime behind him wherever he goes. Slykaar uses similar abilities, albeit in a more physical manner:
- Slime Throw: Used whenever, Slykaar will pull out a large chunk of slime from the ground and throw it at the player, leaving behind slime where the chunk lands.
- Slimeling Creation: Used whenever, Slykaar will reach into his body and pull out 5 Slimelings that create a small amount of slime where they land.
- Slime Surf: Used whenever, Slykaar will quickly surf from one spot of the arena to the other.
- Slime Lob: Used when Slykaar's HP is below 65% (27,625), Slykaar will pull out a giant chunk of slime from the ground and throw it at the player, leaving behind a circle of slime wherever it lands before splitting up into 2 smaller chunks of slime that bounce away and do the same thing.
After Slykaar is seemingly defeated, he still persists, although he is now reduced to a few chunks of slime coating a skeleton. The slime in the arena from the last subphase also disappears except for the spot Slykaar's at. He has similar spells from before alongside a new spell:
- Slimeling Scavenging: Used whenever, Slykaar will pull out 3 Slimelings and 2 small chunks of slime from his body.
- Slime Volley: Used whenever, Slykaar will pull out a 4 small chunks of slime from the ground and throw it at the player, leaving behind slime where the chunks land.
- Recoating Ritual: Used whenever, Slykaar will raise his hand into the air and turn all of the slime in the arena into Sludgelings. Slykaar is invulnerable during this attack. The sludgelings will go to Slykaar and rejoin him, which turns him back into his Slime Armor subphase with the same amount of damage dealt to him, though killing Sludgelings can reduce the amount healed. When Slykaar transitions into this subphase, he lets out a large ring of slime that coats the arena similar to the first phase transition. The Skeleton subphase is not healed by this attack, and will still be at whatever HP Slykaar is prior to regaining his Slime Armor.
After Slykaar has been defeated, he will flail his arms around in an effort to balance himself before he falls over, breaking apart his lower backbone.

Trivia
- This dungeon replaced the Jungle Mini-Dungeon as of the 1.14.1 Gameplay Update
- Various enemies in the dungeon have names derived from Swedish and Finnish. These include:
- Mucous Slingra; slingra means slither.
- The slimes from phase 5; jättelik means huge, mellan means medium, lilla means small, but it's used incorrectly as it's meant to refer to direct objects.
- The small slimes in the boss room: Vointi means health in finnish and takertuva means sticky, hence why vointi slime heals and takertuva slime sticks onto you. (Removed in 2.1 Rekindled World)
- Bevonatu Slykaar; Bevonatu means coating in Finnish. (Removed in 2.1 Rekindled World)
- Rakkaus slime and Noshorning; rakkaus means love and noshörning means rhinoceros; these mobs were deleted from the dungeon in the 1.19 update.
