The 1.16 update, also known as the Corkus Update was a major update to Wynncraft released on April 7th, 2017. It was first announced in a trailer video.

Corkus Island

• A new island was added, Corkus Island.
• The main level range is from 85-95.
• A Powder Exchange was added in Corkus City, which allow you to trade powders into another one for the same tier. The prices of these go as follows:
  • Tier IV: 1 Nii Rune
  • Tier V: 1 Uth Rune
  • Tier VI: 1 Liquid Emerald

Legendary Island

• A boss-rush type challenge located southeast of Corkus.
• Robotic versions of previous bosses are encountered here.

Dungeons

• A new dungeon was added in Corkus, Fallen Factory.
  • Unlocked after completing The Envoy Part I and The Envoy Part II.

Corrupted Dungeons

• Two new Corrupted Dungeons have been added. The price to access them are an Uth Rune and a Broken Dungeon Key.

  • Corrupted Sand-Swept Tomb - Level 86

• Two new boss altars have been added in Corkus:

Items

• More than 250 new items have been added.

Runes

• A new type of Rune has been added, the Uth Rune.
  • To obtain one, you have to hunt down Golden Avias, a new mob that spawns in Corkus, and use it on an Uth Shrine.
    • Uth Shrines can be found in Corkus or Aldorei Town.

Music

• More than 30 new songs have been added.

Secrets

• Some secrets have been added.
• Discoveries have been added, which give a small amount of XP and can only be found once per character, and there is a level minimum to get the XP.

Store

• New rewards have been added to crates.

Trivia

• The Corkus Update was originally suggested by the forum user MrCoffeeTime.
  • CT Manager Tantibus made an April Fools joke in 2016 that Corkus would end up being the 1.15 update, which did list some of the actual features that would be in the update alongside some questionable ones as well as seen here. The joke changes are listed below.
    • The Fallen Factory was instead called the Corkus Dungeon.
    • Tons of new quests were added, including one where you had to run back and forth throughout the Canyon of the Lost.
    • The Elytra has been added due to popular demand. The ground is now poisonous to ensure players use it.
    • The Zombie class has been added to let you fight alongside the undead.
    • All pets are now Squiggles the Squid.
    • The ??? quest has been removed due to massive complaints, and the rewards have been deleted as well.
    • Mechs are now ridable.
    • Witherists are the standing rulers of the province.
    • Guilds have been removed due to them being too useless and broken.
    • Everyone gets their own personal airship to fast-travel anywhere.
    • Swearing is now bannable.
    • Grian can now be killed in game whenever you'd like.
    • Wynncraft is now no longer medieval-themed, and is instead set inside a city destroyed by a zombie apocalypse.
