Encroaching Extinction is a World Event found in the Dernel Jungle. It is the seventh and final Encroaching World Event, all of which involve battling military leaders of the Corruption.

Event

To successfully complete the World Event, the level 82 Infernal Superior General miniboss must be slain within 5 minutes.

5 waves of enemies will be spawned throughout the event. The waves are as follows:

• Wave 1:
  • 27 Sludge Globs
  • 8 Siege Zombies
• Wave 2:
  • 13 Siege Zombies
  • 6 Deforesters
  • 2 Eikons of Ecocide
• Wave 3:
  • 10 Siege Zombies
  • 6 Deforesters
  • 8 Eikons of Ecocide
• Wave 4:
  • 36 Sludge Globs
  • 4 Eikons of Ecocide
• Wave 5:
  • 13 Siege Zombies
  • 1 Infernal Superior General

In addition to the mobs above, the Infernal Superior General may periodically summon additional Siege Zombies.

Rewards

Upon completion, Encroaching Extinction awards 50,000 combat XP. The reward chest will also contain
Emeralds and
Emerald Blocks, Potions, various level 55-75 Unidentified Items and Crafting Ingredients,
Az Runes,
Undergrowth Ruins Keys, and
Galleon's Graveyard Keys.

Encroaching Extinction is one of several World Events that can drop the items
Omnia Mors,
Terminal Velocity,
Carnage Agglomerate,
Infernus Aeterna, and
Blighted Seraph. Additionally, the exclusive ingredients
Broken Fiddle and
Devilish Delight can only be obtained as rewards from Encroaching Extinction.
