Encroaching Misery is a World Event found in Ancient Nemract. It is the third of seven Encroaching World Events, all of which involve battling military leaders of the Corruption.

Event

To successfully complete the World Event, the level 29 Infernal Captain miniboss must be slain within ? minutes.

Four waves of enemies will be spawned throughout the event. The waves are as follows:

  • 5 Skeletal Legionary (Lv. 23, Crawl)

In addition to the mobs above, the Infernal Captain may periodically summon additional Skeletal Legionaries.

Rewards

Upon completion, Encroaching Misery awards ? combat XP. The reward chest will also contain
Emeralds and
Emerald Blocks, Potions, various level ?-? Unidentified Items and Crafting Ingredients,
Infested Pit Keys,
Timelost Sanctum Keys, and
Underworld Crypt Keys.

Encroaching Misery is one of several World Events that can drop the items
Glaring Issue,
Backbiter,
Intestine Lasso, and
Fiend.
