Some broods of spiders lie in wait for a meal to fall into their jaws. Those who stray from the path often end up as an arachnid's dinner.

Arachnid Ambush is a World Event found in the Nivla Woods.

The event can occur at [-364, 70, -1668] in the northwestern woods near Mount Wynn, or at [-305, 69, -1518] in the southwestern woods near Old Growth Rot.

Event

To successfully complete the World Event, the level 15 Broodmother miniboss must be slain within 4 minutes.

5 waves of enemies will be spawned throughout the event. The waves are as follows:

• Wave 1:
  • 12 Nivla Spiderlings
  • 2 Nesting Spiders
• Wave 2:
  • 5 Nivla Spiderlings
  • 4 Nivla Jumping Spiders
  • 2 Infested Zombies
• Wave 3:
  • 5 Nivla Jumping Spiders
  • 1 Nesting Spider
• Wave 4:
  • 16 Nivla Jumping Spiders
  • 1 Broodmother
• Wave 5:
  • 6 Nivla Jumping Spiders
  • 2 Nesting Spiders

In addition to the mobs above, each Infested Zombie will spawn a level 5 Forest Spider upon death, and each Nesting Spider will spawn three.

Rewards

Arachnid Ambush awards 450 combat XP upon your first completion, or 200 XP on subsequent completions. The reward chest will also contain
Emeralds and
Emerald Blocks, Potions, various level ?-? Unidentified Items and Crafting Ingredients,
Decrepit Sewers Keys, and
Infested Pit Keys.

Arachnid Ambush is one of several World Events that can drop the items
Hydrogen,
Nitrogen,
Silicon,
Radium, and
Carbon. Additionally, the exclusive item
Silken Slippers can only be obtained as a reward from this event.

As with all World Events, the health and damage of mobs encountered in Arachnid Ambush will scale based on the number of players in your party and their combat levels.
