World Events

This article is about the waves of mobs that can appear in the world. For various interactions with the world not documented in the Content Book, see World Encounters.

World Events are a mechanic added to Wynncraft in the 2.1 update. They can start in various areas in the world at any time and involve fighting waves of enemies culminating in a Boss. Once an event starts, the player and their party will have their own instance, with the mobs scaled to the highest-leveled player. The entire party wins as long as one or more players survive. World Events can reward players with Dungeon Keys, Runes, and Crafting Ingredients.

Some World Events are unique in that they are rarer in occurrence and also tougher than standard World Events, called Major World Events. As of 2.1 there is only one Major World Event, the Prelude to Annihilation.
