Respirators are level 105 Hostile Mobs that can be encountered during the Silent Expanse Expedition Lootrun.
Combat
Respirators are very tanky and extremely fast melee enemies that charge in straight lines towards the player, dealing damage by coming into contact with them. Like other lootrunning mobs, they will gain more health and attack damage with each successive challenge.
Respirators deal ✤ Earth damage with their attacks. They take reduced damage from ❋ Air and ✤ Earth attacks, and more damage from ✹ Fire attacks.
Respirators will occasionally use the Heavy Push and Heavy Pull abilities, launching the player towards or away from them, potentially away from the target or directly into a swarm of mobs. They can also use the Explode ability, dealing significant damage in an area around themselves.
Drops
A Respirator cannot drop anything.
Location
Respirators are found at the Collapsed Passage, a defend objective in the Toxic Wastes that can be encountered during Silent Expanse Expedition Lootruns. During the challenge, they occasionally spawn alongside the more numerous Engulfed Miners and Gastral Scavengers; unlike the other mobs, they will ignore the rubble that must be defended and exclusively attack the player.
A single Respirator is also spawned upon the death of a Bloated Respirator, a [❃] Rare Mob that rarely spawns in pairs at the Collapsed Passage.

Trivia
- Respirators are very similar in appearance to Engulfed Miners, as well as to Fermented Captives, mobs that can be found inside Larbonic Geodes in the Toxic Wastes.
- According to Builder Deusphage, Respirators are "the bodies of miners that have been mutated to serve the purpose of respirating for the Toxic Wastes itself. Their lungs are bloated to the point they have broken the ribs caging them."
