The Volatile Fleris is the main boss of the level 67 Quest From the Mountains. It is a Fleris that had been smuggled out of the Molten Heights into the Pre-Light Forest. However, due to the smugglers being inexperienced, the Flerisi they were smuggling broke free from the cart they were on and caused the southern half of the Pre-Light Forest to fall under a wildfire. While most Flerisi would cause minor damage, this one fed off the cinders and fire and grew to an especially large size.

Combat

Similar to Sayleros' Brother, the Volatile Fleris becomes progressively easier as you kill its phases. However, it also becomes smaller and therefore becomes harder to hit. It also becomes faster and will cast spells more frantically.

It is resistant to Blindness and Knockback Crowd Controls the entire fight and is resistant to Slowness Crowd Control for the first 2 phases, meaning that it will gain a temporary immunity to them after they are affected by it. It is weak to Water and does damage in and resists Fire. It also has a Melee AI, which will cause it to follow the player and deal contact damage.

It has nine regular spells and one script spell. Its regular spells are Arrow Storm, Charge, Heavy Charge, Explode, Flamethrower, Heavy Flamethrower, Meteor, Multihit, and Push. Arrow Storm will cause it to fire several projectiles rapidly in an inaccurate cloud. Charge will cause it to lunge from one area to another, while its Heavy version will cause an explosion to happen where it lands, damaging players that are caught in it. Explode will cause the mob to create an explosion at its current location. Flamethrower will cause a cloud of fire particles to emerge from the mob, with its Heavy version lasting longer and affecting a larger area. Meteor will cause the mob to lob a large projectile at the player if they are within a nearby radius. Multihit will cause an area in front of the mob to make all players trapped in it receive several weak hits in quick succession. Push will cause the mob to push the player away from them if they are within a 12-block radius.

Its one script spell is Upcoming Attack, which will have several indicators appear where the attack will happen before causing an AoE attack in that area.
